Day 6: I Will Fear No Evil Pirate Ships!
Today I took Noah to a bouncy house place that had a pirate ship bouncy. The moment we walked in he was terrified. I mean clinging to my neck terrified. I didn't find out until we got home that he was specifically scared of the pirate ship, I thought it was just all the bouncy houses. I didn't really think much of the fact that it had big shark teeth on the front of it but Noah sure did. When we got home he told me "the pirate ship had big teeth and was too munchy". He went on an on about that scary pirate ship the rest of the day. Just before bed he and Zach were hanging out when he mentioned it again. So Zach began to help him conquer that fear by grunting and doing muscle poses with him. He was helping him to feel brave. It was cute. At one point Noah yelled out "I will fear no evil for my Daddy is with me!". It was precious, his own take on the Scripture he had learned a few months before. I couldn't resist snapping this one. Notice Zach's beard, he fluffed it out just for this occasion. No scary pirate ship can stand up to daddy's crazy bearded man face. ;-)

Day 5: Tunnel Time
I was really busy today and Lydia was crawling around my feet crying for my attention. So I took the hint and brought out the tunnel. She loves seeing my face at the other end and crawling to me. She is a mama's girl for sure!
Day 4: Sweet Kiss
Noah is really becoming more affectionate with Lydia. He likes to hug and kiss her. Here is a sweet kiss that I caught on camera while we were out for our walk. She adores her big brother and just wants to be close to him. I wish you could hear the laugh she gave when he planted this one on her.
Day 3: In the Kayak
Today Zach decided to take Noah out in the kayak. He did ok. He got a little scared when Zach got in. He thought the boat was going to tip over. Here he is "fishing". He is all boy and I love it.
Day 2: Crib Time
Here are my sweet babies playing together in Lydia's crib. I had to get something done so I put them in the crib together. I heard sweet laughter from the other room and I came back and found this. Love these two. They are really starting to form a bond that I love to see.

Day 1: Our Nightly Snuggle Spot
So I got this idea from a friend. Every day for the next year I am going to take a picture. It can be of anything so long as it represents that day. I am not a photographer so my pictures will not be artistic in any way. They will just be a way to help us remember the special moments that come from the everyday things. We are terrible about taking pictures. Even on the special events, like vacations, we bring the camera but forget to use it until the last day. I guess that is good in a way because it means we are busy enjoying those moments. Still I think it is important to capture those memories when you can. This is my way of being intentional. So here is Day 1:
Here is some background. I had just put Lydia to bed and was washing some dishes when Noah ran into the kitchen and said "Mommy, can we make cookies?" I thought his daddy sent him in but it turned out to be all his idea. ;-) So we popped some cookies in the oven, put blankets and pillows on the floor, lit the fire and the three of us snuggled. This is a nightly ritual (minus the cookies). Usually the boys spend this time arguing about whose princess I am and seeing who can give me the most kisses. I am one blessed lady! This picture would have been better if I had taken it before we all headed to bed but you get the idea. I know we wont have these nightly snuggles forever so I want to enjoy them while I can and remember them when they are gone.
